Hello from the yarn basket
Cozy Loops started with one blanket, one ball of pastel pink yarn, and one very pregnant friend who deserved something handmade. That first wobbly-edged stroller blanket is still in daily rotation years later — and it taught us the lesson behind this whole website: a handmade blanket is never just a blanket.
What we do
We curate the internet’s best free baby blanket crochet patterns into one fast, friendly, no-signup library. Every design you see on the pattern page was:
- individually reviewed for clear instructions and a real, working download;
- organized with honest descriptions so you can pick at a glance;
- paired with a beginner guide that answers the questions everyone asks first — yarn, hooks, sizes, stitches, and care.
How we choose patterns
We favor designs with clear photos, complete written instructions, and tested construction. We look for variety on purpose: quick weekend projects, heirloom showpieces, animal friends, ripples, shells, and textures that babies cannot stop squishing. If a pattern is confusing, outdated, or points to a dead link, it does not make the library.
Our editorial standards
- Honesty over hype. If a pattern is better suited to experienced makers, we say so.
- Reader-supported, not paywalled. Affiliate commissions (disclosed here) keep the lights on — never our opinions.
